Wow, what a stunner!
This one is the epitome of 1920's chic. This dress will be custom made for you in your size using a vintage pattern that dates between 1927 - 1929. It features your choice of a plain tank style sleeveless V neck bodice OR it can be made with a 'M' shaped upper yoke giving an oh-so art deco finish. (This would be fab done in two tone! You see a lot of authentic 20's dresses with color blocking like that. I can totally see this with a beige upper yoke and black fabric for the lower...) True to the classic 1920s style it has a dropped waist with soft gathers at the lower waist. The star of the show on this one is the fabulous double flounce pointed hem side panels. The pattern illustration shows what looks to be a bias bound/piped edging to the dress along all the major seam lines and hem which is also an option. You may choose which finish you want in the pricing options menu. Please note this pattern does not call for any type of closure and is meant to be made loose enough to get on over your head. (Called a 'slip over frock' back in the day.) Of coarse I am happy to add a side zipper or snaps if you prefer it to be made more fitted. Just let me know which you prefer.
Please note that since this pattern is from the 1920s it will not fit like a modern garment. The pattern is made to fit a good 4" + larger at the waist than your actual waist measurement, yet fitted at the bust and hips. This is typical of most 1920s styles.
This dress will be custom made for you to your measurements. Since it is made to order I can make it out of any fabric and color you want. This is meant to be an evening dress and would be great in lace, georgette, challis, velvet, burn out velvet, lame, charmeuse, satin, or lightweight wool. I can make this in any fabric you want, it is up to you! (100% silk or wool would be an additional cost.)
Prices incude a budget of $12 per yard fabric max. If you want a more expensive fabric there will be an additional cost. Unsure about fabric and the total costs? Message me and we can discuss.
I will message you after the order is made and give you a list of measurements I will need to make your dream dress.
