1930s Style Cape Collar Day Dress with W Shaped Hipline and Pleated Skirt Custom Made in Your Size From a Vintage Pattern 1930

Art deco divine!

This dress will be custom made for you in your size using a vintage pattern that is dated 1930. It features a tabbed full circular cape collar (also called a birtha collar) that is long enough to hang over the shoulders creating a sleeve effect. The bodice is W shaped at the hipline in front and back. The skirt has double inverted box pletes at front and back. Your choice of short or long sleeves with a cuff. The original pattern calls for a snap closure along the side seam but I can use a zipper instead if you prefer. This dress is unlined and comes with a belt.

Please note that since this pattern is from the early 1930s, it will not fit like a modern garment. It is left a bit loose at the front waist where it is supposed to have a bloused effect when worn the belt. The pattern is made to fit a good 3" larger at the waist than your actual waist measurement, yet fitted at the bust and hips. This is typical of most pre 1933 styles.

This dress will be custom made for you to your measurements. Since it is made to order I can make it out of any fabric and color you want. The pattern suggests fabrics such as cotton, crepe, shantung, rayons, linen or lightweight suiting. However I can make this in any fabric you want, it is up to you!
