1930s Style Dress with Scalloped Collar and Scalloped Fishtail Skirt Custom Made in Your Size From a Vintage Pattern 1930

This dress will be custom made for you in your size using a vintage pattern that dates between 1930-1931. It features a loose fitted kimono cut bodice with short capped sleeves and a wide scalloped collar to be trimmed with a narrow ruffle. You can have the sleeves with a plain finish or with a cuff. The skirt has several rows of small dart tucks that make the skirt part more fitted but the blouse more loose. The skirt is a fishtail type being more fitted to just past the knees where it flares out with a scalloped shaped seam. Closes at the back neck with a button and on the side seam. Comes with a belt. The original pattern calls for a snap closure along the side seam but I can use a zipper instead if you prefer. This dress is unlined.

Please note that since this pattern is from the early 1930s, it will not fit like a modern garment. It is left a bit loose at the front waist where it is supposed to have a bloused effect when worn the belt. The pattern is made to fit a good 1"- 2" larger at the waist than your actual waist measurement, yet fitted at the bust and hips. This is typical of most pre 1933 styles.

This dress will be custom made for you to your measurements. This would work great in summer weight fabrics such as lawn, quilt weight cottons, dotted swiss, challis, charmeuse or georgette. However I can make this in any fabric you want, it is up to you!
