1930s Style Formal Surplice Long Dress With Ruffles and Balloon Sleeve or Short Cape Custom Made in Your Size From a Vintage Pattern 1934

  I admit I've been watching a lot early 1930's movies on TCM lately. Which of coarse makes me want a WHOLE wardrobe full of to-die-for, over the top, luxurious art deco frocks. You know, the ones the poor little beauty queen wants so badly but must find a rich man to marry in order to afford. (Or so it goes in so many early 1930's movies.)

 This dress will be custom made for you in your size using a vintage pattern that dates between 1931 to 1934. It features a long fishtail skirt with hip yole with your choice of plain or with rows of ruffles. (This one takes 6+ yards of fabric to create all those beautiful details.) The bodice is a surplice in both the front and the back and can be made sleeveless with shoulder ties, with balloon sleeves or with attached shoulder cape. I can make this for you with the ease of a modern zipper or I can make it with side seam snap closures the original pattern calls for. This dress is unlined and comes with a belt.

 This dress will be custom made for you to your measurements. Since it is made to order I can make it out of any fabric and color you want. This would be great in thin cool summery cottons such as lawn or organdy. It would also be great in rayon crepe, rayon challis, satin crepe, sheer georgette and a thin silk like charmeuse. (Though 100% silk would be an additional cost.) I can make this in any fabric you want, it is up to you!
