1930s Style Sci Fi Inset Pleated Sleeve Dress with Ruched Bust and Slim Skirt Custom Made in Your Size From a Vintage Pattern 1933

Art deco divine!

This dress will be custom made for you in your size using a vintage pattern that is dated 1933. It features your choice of a pleated upper bodice (view A) or a ruched upper bodice (view C). Your choice of a ruffled collar or a unique rolled collar. The star of this show is the sci-fi sleeves. Oh those unique sleeves! Your choice of two different crazy cool and totally wacky sleeves! View A has short puffed sleeves with pointy 'sticky outty' cuffs. (Sorry, I could not think of a better way to describe it!) View C shows some CRAZY and amazing longer sleeves with upper and lower 'pointy outty' pleat insets. (Now I know I have seen examples of this detail in early 1930's movies, but I can't remember where or what these sleeves are called.) The sleeve pleats are done using a separate pattern piece so you could choose to have these in a different color. (Dark color dress with light color or even metallic sleeve insets would be fab!!) The longer sleeve option has gathers at the elbow. The bodice has soft gathers at the under bust where it meets the skirt. Love the pointed high waist skirt shape. This one is meant to button down the back and have either snaps or a zipper on the side. Your choice of a on grain cut slim skirt or a bias cut skirt. This dress is unlined.

This dress will be custom made for you to your measurements. Since it is made to order I can make it out of any fabric and color you want. This would be great in fabrics such as shantung, satin, wool blend suiting, gabardine, velvet or cotton. I can make this in any fabric you want, it is up to you! (100% silk would be an additional cost.)
