1940s Style Hostess or Day Dress Full Eight Gore Skirt and Length options Custom Made in Your Size From a Vintage Pattern 1940

  This dress will be custom made for you in your size using a vintage pattern that is dated 1940. It is for a 'hostess' dress, or long length lounge dress that can be made very casual for lounging or made in a fancy fabric for a dinner party. But wait- there's more! It can also be made into a casual shorter day dress. It features elegantly scalloped shaped neckline with soft under bust gathers with a scalloped shaped fitted midriff. (This would look amazing with a contrast color yoke or piping along the yoke edge to show off the scallop shape!) The skirt is a full flared eight gore and it has very puffed sleeves as was all the rage of the late 1930s. Your choice of sleeve length. The pattern has the option of a zipper front (which was quite popular in the 1940's) or loop buttons - your choice. Your choice of short day dress skirt or glamour girl long skirt.

This will be custom made for you to your measurements. Since it is made to order I can make it out of any fabric and color you want. This is SO versatile depending on your vision of this I could almost use any fabric you want. Day dress version would be great in cottons, challis, lawn, rayon crepe, seersucker, gabardine, wool suiting even velvet. Lounge robe - we could do cottons, satin, or even flannel. Glamour girl hostess gown- satin, moire as the illustration shows, velvet or heck, how about a metallic lame? Now THAT would be stunning! I can make this in any fabric you want, it is up to you! (100% Silk , 100% wool and lame would be at an additional cost)
