1940s Style One Piece Swimsuit Bathing Suit Dress with Flaired Skirt and Cover Up Custom Made in Your Size From a Vintage Pattern 1946

  This adorable one piece swimsuit will be custom made for you using a pattern dated 1946. It features a flattering gathered bust with a fitted waist and flared skirt. This is technically a swim 'dress' as the trunks/under panties are detached. The pattern calls for ruffle trim along the bust line. The suit closes in the back with buttons. The under pants are to be made out of a knit fabric with elastic waist and legs. The upper bust will be fully lined. The cover up jacket is optional. It is fitted at the back waist with a sewn in tie belt. There are no other closures. It has patch pockets and long sleeves. It is unlined. 

This will be custom made for you to your measurements. Since it is made to order I can make it out of any fabric and color you want. The pattern suggests this to be made out of lightweight cotton, cotton chintz, chambray, rayon jersey (non stretch) or sharkskin (very hard to find). The beach coat suggests cotton, seersucker, chintz, or terry cloth. This set is so versatile though, it would look fab in almost any fabric really.
