1940s Style Redingote Over Coat Dress Custom Made in Your Size From Vintage Pattern 1942

  This beauty will be custom made for you using a vintage pattern that dates to 1942. It is for a 'Redingote' also described as a lightweight over coat. (It's sort of like a cross between a dress and a coat being made to look like a coat but made out of lightweight or dress weight fabric.) It features triple pleated front shoulders, lightly gathered bust and interesting seam shaping at the waist. The skirt is full and flared. The front stays slightly open with buckle or button at the front waist.

You may choose to order this:

*Unlined in a summer weight fabric such as cotton, linen, faille, taffeta, rayon crepe, rayon twill, silk crepe de chin, summer weight wool.

*Fully lined in a lightweight 'Spring' coat weight fabric. Suggested fabrics would be twill, corduroy, gabardine, lighter suitings. It would be lined in flannel back satin.

*Fully lined in a heavier 'Winter' coat weight fabric. Suggested fabrics would be heavier wool or coating. It would be interlined in thinsulate and lined in flannel back satin.

This will be custom made for you to your measurements. Since it is made to order I can make it out of any fabric and color you want. Suggested fabrics are lightweight woolens, gabardine, twill, linen, satin, bengaline and moire'. I can make this in any fabric you want, it is up to you! (100% Silk or 100% wool would be at an additional cost)
