1940s Style Swimsuit Bathing Suit Bikini Playsuit or Summer Dress Custom Made in Your Size From a Vintage Pattern 1942

  This set will be custom made for you using a vintage pattern dated 1942. So many options on this one, you may choose to order just the 3pc bathing suit or just the dress. The bathing suit features a bikini bra top with gathers in the front. It is fully lined and buttons in the back. The undershorts are suggested to be made out of knit jersey. The sewing instructions are vague and don't say how they are supposed to close, so I'm guessing loop buttons. They are fitted at the waist and don't call for elastic so buttons make the most sence. The skirt is an aline mini skirt with a waist band that zips on the side. 

 The dress is a cute basic button up summer style with capped short kimono sleeves. The bodice has gathers at the waist and a fitted waistband. Your choice of View 1 with a with a V neck and shorter length skirt or View 2 with a revere collar and longer skirt. The dress is unlined.

This set will be custom made for you to your measurements. Since it is made to order I can make it out of any fabric and color you want. Suggested fabrics are -cotton, seersucker, pique, chintz, sharkskin (hard to find) chambray.  The shorts are suggested to be made out of cotton or wool jersey. This set is so versatile though, it would look fab in almost any fabric really. Just let me know what you have in mind and I will find the right fabric for you.

Prices incude a budget of $12 per yard fabric max. If you want a more expensive fabric there will be an additional cost. Unsure about fabric and the total costs? Message me and we can discuss.
