1940s Style Swing Time Dress with Eight Gore Skirt Custom Made in Your Size From a Vintage Pattern 1940

This dress will be custom made for you using a vintage pattern that is dates to 1940. I used this pattern as my base to re-create a dress based off the black dress Ginger Rodgers wore in the movie 'Swing Time'. It features a button or zip up bodice with your choice or peter pan or revere collar. (I used the peter pan collar for the Swing Time dress altering to make it larger and pointy.) You can choose short puffed sleeves or long plain sleeves. The waist is fitted and the skirt is a full and flouncy eight gore. This one would be great for swing dancing! This dress is unlined. Zips on the side. This dress is unlined and comes with a belt.

You can order this dress as the original pattern dictates or I can make you the Swing Time reproduction dress with the full hand sun ray pleated circle skirt, and wider collar.

This will be custom made for you to your measurements. Since it is made to order I can make it out of any fabric and color you want. This would work great in summery fabrics like cotton or rayon challis, rayon twill, linen, seersucker or warmer fabrics like flannel, cotton back satin, wool crepe or gaberdine. This dress is so versatile that it would look fab in almost any fabric really. Just let me know what you have in mind and I will find the right fabric for you.
