Early 1920s Style Round Plunge Neck Drop Waist Dress with Bishop Sleeves Custom Made in Your Size From a Vintage Pattern 1922

  This dress will be custom made for you in your size using a vintage pattern that dated 1922. It features deep rounded plunge neckline with half collar. (This would look fab flipped up!) Under it there is a sewn in 'vestee' or mock camisole. The bodice opens at the left neck edge with hidden snaps. Your choice of long bishop sleeves or 3/4 bell sleeves. The bodice gives the illusion of a blouse worn under a sleeveless vest dress, this would look fantastic done in contrasting colors to show off that effect! (Such as a dark colored bodice and skirt with a light colored sleeve, collar and vestee) The dropped waist has soft gathers, as does the skirt. The gathers are drawn to your lower waist measurement but it is meant to have a baggy fit. This one calls for a side seam snap/hook closure. Your choice of a narrow long tie belt or a wide long sash belt. The pattern calls for either belt to be partially stitched to the dress so it stays put.

The images show the dress and belt with added decorational finishes. I am happy to add appliques, braided trim, tarpunto or pretty rosettes at an additional cost.

Please note that since this pattern is from the 1920s it will not fit like a modern garment. The pattern is made to fit a good 4" + larger at the waist than your actual waist measurement, yet fitted at the bust and hips. This is typical of most 1920s styles.

This dress will be custom made for you to your measurements. Since it is made to order I can make it out of any fabric and color you want. This would be great in cotton lawn, rayon crepe, rayon challis, crepe de chin, crepe back satin, burn out velvet, charmeuse, sheers like georgette or lightweight wool. I can make this in any fabric you want, it is up to you!
